If you missed the finale of American Idol Season 7 you REALLY missed a GREAT performance by David Cook. He sang lead and played guitar with the hairy Rock & Blues legends and it SMOLDERED. I would say this live version actually out did the original studio track! It was fantastic. I was already a big fan of David Cook after he made me LOVE not only a Michael Jackson tune (Billie Jean) but a Lionel Richie song (Hello)! But after this scorching performance he now has a huge amount of rock credibility with me and I will be buying his CD ASAP.

Truly great stuff. This proves American Idol can still deliver.

Who says there ain’t any great new Rock & Roll being made today? What? YOU say that??? Well obviously you haven’t heard the President’s new CD these are the good times people. It’s more wacky yet stripped down guitar/bass/drums Rock & Roll. Well…except for one track where they go a little Swing on us. That one is cool too. It just breaks a little from their “normal” garage band sound.

My favorite from the CD is called “Bad Times”. Here are the lyrics:
