Today is/was Free Comic Book Day. In case you didn’t know Free Comic Book Day is held every year on the first Saturday in May. A bunch of publishers give away free comicbooks to promote the industry as well as your local retailer. As usual I got mine from Evansville’s best comicshop Comics Unlimited.

I grabbed Marvel’s X-Men promo book, Top Cow’s Broken Trinity Prelude, Hellboy & Bongo’s Free-For-All. I was a little disappointed with that last one. Bongo kinda cheaped out this year shrinking the book down to an odd “almost digest” sized book. Lame. Ah well, free is free I guess.

I also see that ComicBook Resources is also sportin’ a nice shiny new interface. It’s about time too. Their old one was startin’ to look…well…OLD.
