I wanted a lagrer monitor that I could use as a dual screen with my laptop, connected via HDMI cable. This one works perfect for that. The picture quality on the screen is terrific out of the box. My laptop also has blu-ray. It looks terrific as well. The only issue that I had was with the initial setup. When I plugged in the HDMI at first, the picture quality was awful. I tried installing the driver, didn’t fix the problem. I called Samsung and the very rude support person that I spoke with told me that the monitor is not meant to be used with a HDMI connection and to use the traditional cable. The traditional cable worked ok, but I wanted to use the HDMI. I argued with her for a while before searching out a solution on my own. All that I had to do was click on source’, click on HDMI 2 , and rename it to PC’. Then instantly my connection was perfect. I did not have to adjust any other settings. Thanks for nothing Samsung tech support! The extra real estate on the big screen is awesome. I do a lot of excel and it really helps.

I still haven’t seen a lot of the comic movies I wanted to see. Green Lantern, Green Hornet, Thor and the list goes on. I did see John Carter. I liked it., At two hundred million dollar for a loss, I doubt there will be a John Carter II.

Well…thanks to the recent movie successes Marvel is finally getting the attention of the mainstream pop-culture that DC has long enjoyed. Hopefully Avengers will be as awesome as it’s looking from the trailers. With Joss Whedon directing it SHOULD BE.

I found them in a vending machine in the D.C. area two weeks ago. So they are in small bags too. They don’t seem to be available anywhere in California.

I see it as a necessary evil. My kids do their chatting and interacting on there, so I go on there to communicate with them — and to just be aware of what their doing… to be part of that world with them.

I also don’t get spam (?) – maybe it’s a guy thing. I know it was on MySpace.

The site does kind of suck though, because it’s gotten to big and out of hand. Twitter went through the same thing – it used to be pretty cool, but now it’s just massive and stupid.
